Under His Wings

For birds, wings are vital part of its body. With wings it can fly, with wings it can protect the baby birds. So does wings for angel, wings for God. He offers us safety and refuge beneath his wings. As a loving Father, He always protects those who come unto Him. The interesting part here is ... no heavy storm can able to uncover His wings from us. Indeed, the greater the storm is, the greater his power will be revealed in our lives. As Psalm 91:4 states, “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart” Yes, His faithfulness endures forever. If a bird can persevere so much to protect its babies, would not our great Father in Heaven more faithful than the birds?

One of the greatest Godly author ever lived, Elisabeth Elliot stated, “I realized that the deepest spiritual lessons are not learned by His letting us have our way in the end, but by His making us wait, bearing with us in
love and patience until we are able to honestly to pray what He taught His disciples to pray: Thy will be done.” We never reach the depth of intimacy with God until we learn how to surrender. There is no more distinction between our will and His. They have become one. The beauty of submission to the Lord always lead to the path of life since God knows the best way for us. The question is no longer what things interesting for us to do in our life, but it is what God wants me to do for his lost sheep? The shift of the center of our life from ‘it’s all about me’ to ‘it’s all about Him’ is what makes a difference at last.

Walking with God is walking with faith not eyes. We don’t see the whole staircase, we only know the first step and believe that He will catch us when we fall. We only know what we can do today, in this hour, right now. Jesus did not demand us to do big things instantly. He values small things we do with a big heart toward Him. Even when we cook, wash the dishes, give a warm smile to others, and so on. There is nothing insignificant to God if we do it for Him not merely for human. He sees our heart J You don’t need to worry about how you look like, how good is your performance.. God loves you anyway. Unconditionally, endlessly.
Not only He requires your faith to walk with Him, this amazing God has promised to accompany you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go.” “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5) When you cry, He is there. When you are rejected, He is there. When you are glad, He is there. Never say, “Where is God when this disaster happen to me?” But say instead, “What do you want me to learn from this? Help me to see your purpose and shape me to grow as You wish.” Your degree of surrender is a reflection of the size of your faith.

God can make an open door to be closed and He can make a close door to be opened. In His time. If it is God’s will, nothing is impossible. Do not be discouraged if your path seems to be closed at the moment. God is more than able to open it at His time. He even answers our prayer even before we says it. The question now is ... how big is your faith toward God? Do you believe in this? We can feel peace in difficulties as our hearts trust in the goodness and faithfulness of God. Nothing is outside His control. Do not worry. Fear not. All is well.

Under His wings, you will always be comforted and strengthened. There is no safest place on earth than under His wings, His loving protection. Yet we must to come unto Him. Most of us don’t trust Him enough. We neglect prayer since we think, “We cannot just sit and pray. We have to DO something.” Yes that sounds makes sense. But what if God is willing to go to the battle to fight for you? There are times that we have to do, there are times that we have to REST at Him. There are times that we hold unto our faith that only God who can work through this. Only by His grace, not our works. He will let you know when you have to act, when you have to rest and trust in Him. All of these things will be revealed when we take time to listen to Him. Yes, God speaks. Personally, intimately. His words will never make you down, instead it will be full of affirmation, encouragement, honesty, and lift you up. And He always longs to have a dialogue with you. Not merely you say all your wishes for Him to grant, but allowing Him to speak to you. Take time to meditate on His words. Pray to know Him. His loving presence will unfold all your confusion and guide you to His path.

The only thing that makes me endure this season because I believe that God is up for something. I have not seen it yet, but I know He has prepared more beautiful story behind this. Jabrik believes it so too J At His time, He will open his mom’s heart to allow us to be together again. If you know that it is God’s will, even the door seems to be closed, you have to keep waiting in front of the door, knocking through sincere prayer to God, and allow Him to work. We don’t knock the door by rebelling toward his mom, we knock it through obedience and patience. I believe that there is no heart cannot be opened through love that never fails. We obey her by not meeting each other again. So this thing I write is not merely just a writing. It is real coming through experience that I am going through now. I believe that true love does not walk away when there is problems. It does not search for other alternatives. True love is a tiny shoot coming from a seed of faith. We can only grow it when we believe in God as its gardener. The time will come, all I have to do is simply resting under His wings, loving, and trusting God.

Of this thing, I know. Of this thing I trust. That He who began this story will bring it into completion and make it beautiful in His timeJ

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest
-Matthew 11:28
